Outing.golf updates

What’s new

Small improvements. Better golf trips. Here’s what we’ve been working on to make planning easier.

October 6, 2026Latest releaseShare this update

A better welcome for every golfer

Preview the trip before joining, send a quick RSVP, and find your itinerary, votes, and group chat in one place.

See the weekend before you join

Email invitations and shared links now show the trip’s destination, proposed or confirmed dates, selected courses, stay, and estimated cost. Open course details for descriptions, photos where available, and a map. Your trip’s name stays with you through signup and sign-in.

A quick, clear RSVP

Choose “I’m in,” “Maybe,” or “Can’t make it.” If the dates are still being decided, share which weekends work and your comfortable budget. Golf and stay preferences are optional, and you can view the trip before responding. Change your RSVP anytime; the organizer can see your latest answer.

Your trip, all in one place

Invited golfers now land in Trip HQ, with their response, itinerary, cost breakdown, group chat, and roster together. Clearer booking guidance explains that the organizer is coordinating reservations, so everyone knows who is handling the next steps.

Voting that’s easier to follow

When voting opens, course and stay options appear near the top of Trip HQ. Vote for every option you’d enjoy, see confirmation when a pick is saved, and tap it again to remove it. The organizer makes the final call.

A dashboard that knows your next step

Trips you’ve joined now say “Joined,” show your RSVP, and offer the right action: respond, vote, or view the trip. We also corrected lodging estimates in voting so they use the same room-sharing calculation as the itinerary.

Easier course selection and day-by-day trip planning

Explore courses without losing your place, build your days, and see what still needs booking.

Course details where you choose

View descriptions, photos where available, and a location map inside the course picker. Search your options and check visitor-access information before adding a round. Description and photo coverage depends on the course and available sources.

Build each day your way

Add courses to specific days, move rounds, play a course more than once, or leave time for travel and a slow morning. Arrival and departure days can include golf, too.

A clearer estimate for the group

Enter estimated green fees per golfer and see how room sharing changes lodging costs. Missing prices are flagged so you can tell what is still needed. We corrected an issue that could overstate multi-room hotel estimates.

Refresh hotel rates without losing your plan

Check new hotel quotes while keeping your selected stay, scheduled rounds, and saved course prices. Older hotel estimates that need rechecking are clearly marked and excluded from totals until refreshed. Prices and availability can change.

Know what is planned and what is booked

Confirm your dates, record tee times and the number of golfers covered, and save a hotel confirmation. An itinerary can be ready while reservations still need attention. Recording a booking in Outing.golf does not make a reservation; book directly with the course or hotel.

One plan from your dashboard to Trip HQ

Choose to plan the trip yourself or ask the group first. Review your selected rounds, stay, costs, and booking progress together, then open Trip HQ for the itinerary, maps, and recorded tee times. The dashboard now separates upcoming and past trips.
